"Some Emmy Satisfaction"

It's so fantastic that the Emmy people made the choice for Michael Emerson to win best supporting actor in a drama. Of course we all love him and wished for the best to happen last night, and there will be plenty of posts today on his win, but I couldn't resist a little Lost-gloating as a fan myself. Here's an interesting website dedicated to M.E. http://www.michaelemerson.net

It's always great to see someone win, but I'm always surprised when Elizabeth Mitchell gets overlooked for a nomination. Part of me thinks that you win once, well, everyone stays happy (in general, I mean). Then there might be more rotation in who is nominated each year. As with Emerson and Nestor Carbonell, even Terry O'Quinn, you can tell which actors on LOST gives 100% to the character they portray compared to those who just pout whenever they are on screen. And, yes, I'm talking about Zack and Emma. Not.

I agree about Mitchell. She's been acting for a while now and done fluff-to-supporting roles, but her work in Lost is so diverse from Juliet's little-mouse self, to the ninja-Other, to her death scene with Josh -- just very worthy. I'm bored with all the tough-as-nails over-the-top female leads on TV today, they're too predictable IMHO.

Those who just pout...hmmmmm, Nikki and Paulo?

:o)

LOL Greg.

That's what I figure they'll do with Lost next year, the Emmy's might do what the Oscars decided to do with LOTR, i.e., wait until it was all over and then give them the awards. Which was unfortunate, because I thought that Enya's songs were much better then Annie Lennox's song in the final movie. Enya even utilized Tolkien's elf language in her songs too. She wuz robbed, IMO.

OT: Don't you have a fringe blog?

Capcom said...

Oh not anymore, it was too much work keeping up with that show, wow! The blog still exists, but I don't post anymore, and I took it off my lists. I'm leaving all the Fringe work to Dennis and his buds, and just having fun following them. Be sure to check things out over there at FringeTelevision, and thanks for asking!
