"Comic Con From Afar"

This past Sunday's Foxtrot cartoon (click for large readable jpg) just about says it all for those of us who can't get to SDCC this week, for the final participation of the Lost powers-that-be. So, we'll live vicariously through our Lost friends who can, and who'll give us their timely reports. P.S. Bill Amend is pretty neat, and very geek-friendly in his cartoons. :o)

  1. I'm sorry you're going to hate me.
I've been trying to leave you a link to my blog.
But at this rate maybe my first thought of not having one is better. Everytime I leave a link and I click it to make sure it works it takes me to my blog but to the dashboard where you can edit everything.
I'll see if I can figure it out.
BTW I like the comic strip you posted it's cute. Hope we get some good stuff from comic con this weekend.
If I can figure out what I'm doing wrong I try to post the link again.
    Sorry about all the deletions.

  2. Ok one last try.

I've been thinking about blogging my thoughts on the last season of Lost. The key word being "thinking".

If I can think of anything worth reading to post you can find it here

That first post will probably be the only thing ever posted. But we'll see. :)

I'll have to figure out how to make the paragraphs have spaces between first or have very short posts. lol

This is why I don't do these things. I spend hours on it just to mess it up. I even somehow changed the password when I login to post on blogs. Hope I remember what I changed it to. (rolls eyes ;) )

  3. Oh well I guess who ever wants to edit my blog can have at it. It probably will never be used anyway. Cause now my trash can is gone. Are you hiding it from me. ;) I don't blame you.

You're probably think you're getting alot of nice posts, when all it is, is some crazy old lady who doesn't know what she's doing.

  4. Haha! Hey, it's nice to see you here!

I say go for it, your blog is a good idea! And it looks real nice!

Yes, it took me a while to get used to the way the html acts for the text. Especially if you delete and then add some more pics in between the text, it messes everything up. Lately I've been getting bold and playing with the html itself (see the tab for it on the text page at the top, I think next to "preview") to fix the spacing. It's really weird, since I don't know anything about it. Good time to learn as any I guess. One of the many things we've all learned since interwebbing about Lost! Thank you TPTB of Lost for increasing our intelligence during your show in so many ways! :-D

I'll add your blog to my blog list!

  7. Capcom
If a person has a public account and you know their user name, you can go to twitter.com/username and see what they've tweeted. You just can't communicate with them.

  9. Innit neat?! That cartoonist does a lot of geek oriented topics via the little kid and his friend there. :-) His LOTR and Star Trek treatments in the past have been hiliarious.

Good luck on your new blog if you decide to get it started. Some blogs do share administrators like that.

  11. Cool cartoon. Earlier in the week, I was at Six Flags with my nieces, and I saw a black guy dressed as Green Lantern. I sd you must be John Stewart, right? He sd I was the only one who got that right all day. (See, the main GL from the late 50s on is Hal Jordan).

Sayid'sgirl, I'll see if I can help with your blog. Capcom will tell you I'm Middle Ages, but I do keep stuff in my head and I had trouble with Blogger when it went to Beta.

  12. Neat Wayne! He's the newest Gl, right?

  13. Well, kinda.Back in 1973, Hal Jordan, um, fell on a bar of soap and his ring then found the next guy with the least fear, John Stewart with a big 70s fro. He's been around pretty much all the time since the early 90s. Kyle Rayner is the newest GL. Christ, I know too much.

  14. Haha! Fell on a bar-o-soap? Wow. Ya can't say that those comic writeres don't have a sense of humor.
